Das hellgrüne, keilförmige Insekt ernährt sich von den Blattunterseiten. Anwendungen von Diazinonstaub, Methoxychlor, Rotenon oder Sevin sollten dieses Insekt kontrollieren.
Milben verursachen, dass die Blätter entdeckt und ausgetrocknet werden. Sprays von Rotenon kontrollieren das Problem.
